Postdoc Position in Data Mining:

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Melbourne has an opening for a post-doctoral research fellow in the area of data mining, with a particular emphasis in the area of data clustering. The fellow will be supported by a research grant from the Australian Research Council Discovery Projects scheme, for up to two years.

The project is headed by Dr James Bailey and is part of the activities of a leading group of researchers in data mining and databases.

The position requires a PhD degree in computer science or a related discipline, with research experience in data mining, documented by a record of high quality publications. Expertise in data clustering is preferable, but not required for the position. The fellow will be working with a team of academics and PhD students. Strong written and verbal skills are expected.
