Are you planning to apply for an ARC linkage grant? If you have a convincing case that EII seed funding would significantly assist you in the grant preparation process, it is easy to apply.

Forward a one-page application to include:

[1] Names of CIs & PIs, and partner organization/s

[2] Project title

[3] Summary & scope of the intended project

[4] How the EII funding will help

[5] Requested budget items and total amount

There is no deadline from our end. You can make that decision based on your own preparation timeline for the linkage grant submission. On receipt of any application we would notify the outcome within 3 working days.

Linkage Projects (Round 1)
For funding commencing January 2011
Submission date 12 May 2010

Submissions for Round 2 linkage funding commencing July 2011 is likely to be due in November 2010.

Remember that the EII funding available is to help prepare the grant; not to actually conduct any research, nor as a contribution to your Linkage grant budget.

If your Linkage grant application is eventually unsuccessful, please note that financial assistance from the ARC Research Networks is not to be used to substitute for funding sought unsuccessfully from other ARC schemes.
