Dr Boldeman will speak on DCITA’s recent research on the influence of ICT on Australia’s productivity growth and on his current research on the historical antecedents to the ICT revolution.  He will draw on this work to suggest some new directions in ICT policy.

Dr Boldeman is the Manager, Special Projects, Strategic Development and Regional Division, Department of Communications Information Technology and the Arts.  Dr Boldeman’s duties have to do with the significance of ICT on the economy and society, and he oversighted DCITA’s work on the influence of ICT on Australia’s recent productivity growth.  Dr Boldeman has a PhD from the ANU in the Political Science and International Program.  His academic interest is the influence of neoclassical economics on public policy with an emphasis on industry and innovation policy.
