The Computer Journal Special Issue on Security and Privacy in Cloud Computing

The aim of the special issue is to present leading edge work concerning privacy protection issues and security challenges in the rapidly emerging field of Cloud Computing. Research that addresses organisational and enterprise solutions for privacy protection and information security in Cloud Computing environments will also be presented. Both papers dealing with fundamental theory, techniques, applications, and practical experiences concerning secure Cloud Computing will be considered.  The scope of the special issue includes (but is not limited to):

lSecurity modelling and threats in cloud computing l Auditing in cloud computing l Access control mechanisms for cloud computing l Secure cloud resource virtualization mechanisms l Secure data management outsourcing (e.g., database services) l Practical privacy and integrity mechanisms for outsourcing l Foundations of cloud-centric threat models l Trust and policy management in clouds l Secure identity management mechanisms l New cloud-aware web service security paradigms and mechanisms l Business and security risk models and clouds l Cost and usability models and their interaction with security in clouds l Remote data integrity protection l Data-centric security and data classification l Secure wireless cloud l Risk analysis and risk management
 
** Instructions to authors **

Only high quality original work that has not been published or is not currently under review elsewhere will be considered.  The submitted papers should be formatted according to the journal style and submitted to Section D of the journal via the journal web-based submission route at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/compj.  

Each paper should include a cover letter with the title, abstract, authors¡¯ names and the corresponding authors¡¯ names and affiliation, indicating that the submission is for ¡°The Special Issue on Security and Privacy in Cloud Computing¡±.  A PDF version of each submitted paper with its serial number should also be forwarded to wang@usq.edu.au.

All submitted papers will be refereed based on originality, scientific quality and relevance to this Special Issue and will be accepted or rejected in line with the usual standards of The Computer Journal.

  Manuscript due: Feb 1, 2011;
  Acceptance/rejection notification:  May 1, 2011;
  Final manuscript due:  Jul 1, 2011;
  Publication date: 4th Quarter of 2011 or 1th Quarter of 2012.
